A novel on the life of Jesus, with Jesus telling his own story, filling in the missing years.

This work imagines the kind of person Jesus would have been, considering the events surrounding his life.

Was he fully human? Or did God endow him with advantages?

The evidence points to human.  So what is the story Jesus himself would have told?  There are many clues. And Jesus called himself “the son of man”–thirty-three times.

I’M…the legend of the son of man is a novel approach to the life of Jesus, who considered himself to be one of us.

Right now special price of $15.99 for vintage hardback.

Description

A novel on the life of Jesus, with Jesus telling his own story–filling in the missing years.

I wrote this novel because I thought it might be nice to speculate on how Jesus might tell his own story based upon the events surrounding his life. Who did he turn out to be?

Immediate questions:

If God were a man, would he be man-like, or endowed with advantage? But wouldn’t those advantages amount to cheating? Would God be a cheater?

But what if He didn’t cheat? Is it possible that Jesus was a man–as the Gospels so clearly tell us?

The missing years between twelve and thirty–was he not a normal young man, filled with the awakenings common to all?

A carpenter who told no tales of carpentry–did he hate his first job? Or maybe he wasn’t very good at it?

Surrounded by brothers and sisters–that’s what the Good Book says. Did they accept their big brother? Or fight for first place?

A cleanser of the Temple. Duty–or anger?

On thirty-three occasions, Jesus of Nazareth called himself the Son of Man. It was his favorite moniker. He was a human being who felt down to his toes that God was his Father. He wanted to show that Father to us all.

So this is not a religious book. I am a bawdy man, I be.

So suspend disbelief. You will carry out what you receive with a child’s heart.

Or, as the Son of Man loved to say: Your faith will make you whole!

A man lived, if he did

He worked in a shop, if there was

A man of destiny, if such exists

Gave his life, if there was life to give

He loved people, if they knew him

Had the touch of healing, if an anointing flowed

Raised the dead, if rumors can be believed

He was tempted, if he got around

Like us, he was part of the gang.

Talk of God, if One can be found.

Women around, and never kissed?

Books written, no suspense.

Story told, empty pews.

Son of man, son of God.

Human life, or just a fraud?

and engaging, and without a doubt, you have hit the nail on the head.
The problem is something which too few people are speaking intelligently about.

I am very happy I found this during my search
